In December of 2021 the Marching Rebels will travel to the Sugar Bowl.

Below is the itinerary for the Sugar Bowl Trip.

Tuesday, December 28

5:45am- Group Meet Bus at Champlin Park HS

6:15am- Board Bus, Depart for St. Louis

Lunch Stop- TBD 

6:45 pm- Arrive in St. Louis

7:00pm- Dinner at Ballpark Village

8:30pm- Board Bus, Depart for Hotel (Pear Tree Inn)

9:00pm- Hotel Check-In

 

Wednesday, December 29

7:00am- Breakfast at Hotel

8:00am- Board Bus; Depart for New Orleans

Lunch Stop- TBD 

8:00pm- Arrive in New Orleans; Hotel Check-In (Hilton Riverside)

9:15pm- Board Bus; Depart for Hard Rock Café

10:00pm- Late Dinner at Hard Rock Café

11:15pm- Group Walk Back to Hotel

 

Thursday, December 30

7:30am- Boxed Breakfast Delivered to Hotel

8:15am- Board Bus; Depart for Field Show Competition

9:00am- Field Show Competition

10:30am- Board Bus; Depart for French Quarter

Lunch- on own in the French Quarter

1:30pm- French Quarter Stand & Play

4:00pm- New Orleans Ghost Tour

5:30m- Board Bus; Depart for Bayou Barn

6:00pm- Dinner & Bayou Barn

9:00pm- Board Bus; Depart for Hotel

 

Friday, December 31

7:00am- Boxed Breakfast Delivered to Hotel

8:00am- Board Bus; Depart for Mass Band Rehearsal at West Jefferson High School

9:00am-12:00pm- MASS BAND REHEARSAL & Director’s Meeting

12:00pm- Lunch on Your Own

1:00pm- Report to Sugar Bowl Parade Staging Area

2:00pm- ESTIMATED PARADE STEP-OFF TIME

Afternoon- Return to Hotel to Freshen Up for Dinner Dance

7:30pm- Sugar Bowl Awards Dinner & Dance

11:00pm- Board Bus; Depart for Hotel

**Optional Fireworks Show Over the Mississippi River

 

Saturday, January 1

6:30am- Boxed Breakfast Delivered to Hotel

7:00am- Board Bus; Depart for Final Half-Time Show Rehearsal

8:00am-10:00am- FINAL HALF-TIME SHOW REHEARSAL at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome

Lunch- On Your Own

4:30pm- ARRIVE AT THE SUPERDOME

Dinner on Your Own at the Superdome

7:45pm- ESTIMATED ALLSTATE SUGAR BOWL KICK-OFF

 

Sunday, January 2

8:30am - Hotel Check-Out; Board Bus & Depart for St. Louis

Lunch Stop - En Route

Dinner Stop - En Route

9:00pm- Arrive in St. Louis, Hotel Check-In (Pear Tree Inn)

 

Monday, January 3

7:00am- Breakfast at Hotel

The undersigned agree that our student has permission to participate in the Champlin Park Marching Rebels trip to the Sugar Bowl in December of 2021. The permission includes travel from Champlin Park High School to New Orleans, Louisianna, and related travel destinations. The teachers and chaperones or staff will supervise all activities. Individual excursions are strictly forbidden, and a curfew is imposed nightly. I (We) agree that my (our) student will abide by the rules of behavior and decorum outlined in the Champlin Park High School handbook. Participants will recognize their responsibility to other members of the travel group and coordinators. There will be absolutely no use of cigarettes, drugs, or alcohol, all school and district policies apply. Students who break school/district policies may be sent home at the expense of their parent/guardian and subject to district disciplinary action.
