2026 - 2027 Jazz Band

The Jazz Band program offers dedicated student musicians the opportunity to explore and perform a wide range of jazz styles, including swing, Latin, funk, and contemporary jazz. Participation is by audition, and students are placed into one of two ensembles: Jazz 1 and Jazz 2.

Requiring a strong commitment, time management, and personal responsibility. Students will develop advanced musicianship skills such as improvisation, ensemble performance, stylistic interpretation, and music literacy.

Members of the Jazz Band program represent the school at concerts, events, and potential competitions, and are expected to maintain a high standard of performance and professionalism.

This program is ideal for motivated students who are passionate about music and eager to challenge themselves in a collaborative, high-energy environment.
